Now the “blither’
We have completed another great European touring season with a ‘very social’ group of adventure seekers on our first of “Economy Kiwi Alps Tour” it went without a hitch, which was a real bonus as of course it was the first without a back up van (we think we were lucky there) everyone managed incredibly well with their bike packing etc and after a couple of days got into a good routine with packing their “stuff” I think D & I got the prize for the most unnecessary “sh-t” carried on a bike, we just can’t pack light if we try!!
FYI: ‘very social’ group, means simply they all took a liking to all the Euro beer’s & wine’s.

Special mention in dispatches to Thanasis, Chrysa and George (mini T) thanks heaps for being great ‘flat mates’ by the sea, wonderful time swimming and beaching it, with the added bonus of our boating around the islands day and for keeping us on the right roads on our two Balkan tours, great fun!!

Hello all, winter is now just about upon us here in New Zealand, lucky for some of us, we get to escape some of it.

So it's time for planning your own escape for next year (2018) in Europe or a "One Off" Harley-Davidson® 115th Anniversary Tour to the USA, now if any of you have been to an anniversary of Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee you will know how awesome and exciting they are.

Hello again to all.

It is hard to believe that it is 3 months since our last catch-up (seems like just 1 month)

We have completed another two week South Island H-D® Adventure Ride which went well despite the strange February weather, all tour participants looked past the cold and at times 'windy' weather and made the most of their H-D® riding experience around the South Island (our hottest days were in Invercargill & Dunedin, we think someone turned the Island upside down for a few days there, as it was really hot)

Once again we have had a fair number of H-D® guided short tours & passenger rides so we are happy with the NZ summer so far.

Our news letters are starting to become like "Ground Hog Day" as events & happenings have fallen into a seasonal pattern now for a good number of consecutive years and we hope will continue for a while yet (especially in Europe)

This coming June 2017 see's our first "Economy Euro Alps Tour" and is kicking off with a full contingent of keen tour participants, we hope for the normal awesome European mountain weather to accompany us again as in all the past years! http://www.bekersmct.co.nz/economy-european-alps-tour.html

Following on from a very successful Balkan/Greece Tour last year, this Euro summer we are sorting out a 'Kiwi-fi-ed' version of mc touring in some other Northern Balkan states for June 2018, this again will be in conjunction with our Greek tour partner as he is the expert in those far-away countries and a real good bugger as well, those that may be interested in this approx 16 day tour of Bulgaria/Romania & Northern Greece let us know in the next few months or so. We are planning to run this tour without a back-up van so as to keep the tour cost down to an acceptable and fair level for all, plus we hope to be able to provide some day to day unguided riding opportunities for those more experienced Euro riders whom have good navigational skills.

We are going to make this news letter short and sweet, because at this time of year everyone is so busy.

2017 starts off with our South Island Harley-Davidson® Adventure tour in 5 weeks time. We have once again completed another great European touring season with a larger group of adventure seekers on a 14 country Balkan/Greek tour, all went very well with no real challenges to talk about which is largely due to Mr T’s “our Greek connection” area knowledge and his relaxed tour guiding technique as most days were full riding days for sure, plus Donna’s attention to tour detail, her working through pre-tour issues and countless logistic challenges. It was great that all participants were very experienced riders (and most had completed several other international motorcycle tours) as our stringent tour criteria for this "one off" tour was definitely warranted.

We have both started working on another refined Greek/Balkan adventure (with a lesser amount of and different Balkan countries) for 2018, this tour would be a two week-ish adventure, with shorter riding days and without a back-up van for a more cost effective tour, we will keep everyone posted as information comes to hand.

Our old favourite "The Great Kiwi Alps Tour" ran without a hitch with a small numbered group which made for easy changes during the days adventure, so hence, a relaxed riding pace,. We were very lucky to have had great weather, good company & awesome roads.

We also have checked out for a future Economy tour the following. START; Munich-Austria-Czech Republic-Poland-Slovakia-Hungary-Austria-Slovenia-Northern Italy-Austria-Bavaria-FINISH; Munich. Below is Budapest, one of those must see City's, which would be part of this tour.

Hi again folk's, we hope all you from the Southern Hemisphere had the chance for a great ride or two over our Summer period and all you up in the Northern Hemisphere are starting to get out and about now in your springtime!
We have now completed our New Zealand Harley-Davidson®tours and personal riding trips for the season and very soon are about to depart New Zealand for Europe and the start of the motorcycle touring spree for the next few months, Yippeee!! (still a couple of spots on our "Great Kiwi Euro Alp's Adventure 2016" and just enough time to join up :-)

We have some confirmed tours for our 2016/17 NZ Summer calendar, so we are excited about that and we still have a couple of spots on our Feb 2017 South Island Adventure for anyone that is keen to ride the amazing South Island http://www.bekersmct.co.nz/h-dreg-south-island-adventure-tour.html this is another favourite tour for us both and even with our roads becoming a little busier now-a-days, the South Island of N.Z. still offers heaps of great riding and lots of room for motorcycles.

Also, we are working on offering a North Island H-D® Tour, Start & Finish out of Auckland, this would be a very relaxing 12 day Adventure tour with a mixture of Hotels & Motels and would certainly be open to Kiwi or Aussie riders on their own machines without the worries of accommodation issue's and with luggage Van back up, more about this in the future.

Hello all, we hope you all have been getting some great summer riding adventures under your belts!
We have been busy enough with Harley-Davidson® Rentals, Short tours and our Feb South Island Adventure tour which finished in Queenstown last week. This tour was yet another perfect adventure for those that had joined up and rode around the whole of the South Island.
Great fun people and enthusiastic Harley® riders, weather for the most part behaved except in Nelson & West coast where we met up with that storm that charged thru the Tasman area, (cooler temps down south which felt like an early autumn) this didn’t stop anyone from having a blast and getting in some awesome riding, some Yummy scone tasting with D & S in Nelson, crazy weather at Punakaiki Rocks, heaps of Kea’s in Milford, Bluff hill, Burt Munro’s bikes at E.Hayes & Son's and an opportunity to ride on a Deep South H.O.G™ Chapter ride through the ‘Catlins’ with a stop at the Whistling Frog Cafe, Larnach Castle, heaps of Royal Albatross and much, much more

We leave NZ at the start of May for Europe in preparation for our combined Beker’s MCT & Odyssey mc Tours 3 week long Balkans/Greece tour, this 13 country adventure has all tour members “champing-at-the-bit” and very soon we will all be riding south from Munich to Bled Slovenia to kick this one off.

Along with the fantastic 'Learning Curves H-D® Dental Adventure C.E. participants' and a great bunch of Kiwi's we all had a better than perfect Tuscan riding experience.

Our Sturgis 75Th Anniversary Tour was a real "cracker" perfect weather and great riding conditions, awesome people and sights and the one off chance to be part of a one Million bikers strong extravaganza in Sturgis & surrounds.

2016 starts off with our South Island Harley-Davidson® Adventure tour in 8 weeks time. We are delighted once again to be able to show off our awesome South Island to some Aussie's, fellow Kiwi, & USA folk in our warmest month of the year, this is the part we so enjoy plus we have a couple of lesser day Deep South Adventures planned in the next few months, so we may well see some of you on the road.

Our tours in Europe are complete for this year, we had an awesome challenge free European season and we are now part way thru our 75^thAnniversary of Sturgis Tour, starting and finishing in Seattle,WA.
So our new mission now is to let you know about our tours for next year (2016).

European Touring Season - 2016

We have a very exciting NEW Adventure tour.
“The Balkan’s/Greece Tour”

It's 21 days/20 nights in 13 different countries. The tour starts on the 27^th May 2016 and finishes on the 16^th June 2016. Start and finish point is Munich. The countries we will travel through include Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Albania, Greece, Montenegro, Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo and Italy.

What's Included:

All breakfasts
Most evening meals (except on free days)
3-5 Star hotels
National park entrance fees
Ferry crossing from Greece to Italy
Late model Adventure Motorcycle
Transportation to and from Airport
Back-up Vehicle

This one-off tour has created tremendous interest, because we think? the very interesting countries we will visit, the perfect relaxed time frame, the lowest priced tour we have offered for some time and most importantly our tour partner Thanasis’s has huge touring experience in these countries as he lives and tours very close by in Thessaloniki Northern Greece, we wouldn’t even attempt this one without Thanasis at the helm, so we are very excited at the opportunity to be able to offer this adventure in conjunction with “Mr T”
The motorcycles available may vary from used BMW’s and various other makes, our beloved Harley-Davidsons are not offered on this tour, in early 2016 we will have a better idea of the machines on offer.
Price (close approx) for a couple Euro 8,900.00 for a single Euro 6,900.00 (Please note! This is a three week tour most of our tours are two weeks and this tour is lower cost! making this great value indeed).
We will be seeking deposits for this tour in October and it will be run on a first in, first choice of bike list arrangement, please start thinking about if this tour is for you? and especially if you would like to participate in a more adventurous and slightly more exciting road-wise riding experience, let us know if you are seriously considering participating in this one off adventure as there is a limited number of spots available.

Our “Great Kiwi Alps Tour” will run from Friday the 24^th June 2016 and depart on the 10^th of July 2016. This tour is always our favorite adventure and we never get tired of the beautiful mountain passes and vistas, on this tour we offer Harley-Davidson and BMW motorcycles.

Plus this awesome adventure truly does offer the best motorcycle riding in a relatively small area found anywhere in the developed world, also we are holding the price the same for the 4^th year in a row even though there has been countless price increases and room taxes added now in all most all of our host hotels.
